THE leader of Carmarthenshire County Council Emlyn Dole has said that the position of the council on mergers is clear. It comes as new calls are made from the Welsh Assembly Government for a conversation around possible council mergers, which could see councils reduced from 22 to 10,
Following a request for information from Llanelli Online regarding the council’s position on mergers council leader Emlyn Dole has responded via a video statement.
In the video the leader said: “My position is reiterated that Carmarthenshire stands alone as a county.”
