Coastguard and Lifeboat crews coordinate rescue of two people cut off by tide at Cefn Sidan

TWO people and their two dogs were rescued tonight, Saturday (Sep 29) having been cut off by the tide at the Saltins, Cefn Sidan.

At 19:18 hrs Milford Haven Coastguard tasked the Crews of the Loughor Independent Rescue Lifeboat to launch  for two persons and 2 dogs cut off by the tide at the Saltins, Cefn Sidan.

Ferryside St Johns Lifeboat and Tenby ALB were also deployed with a Coastguard helicopter

Burry Port Coastguards were on scene just before the Loughor Lifeboat’s were being launched and confirmed extraction by foot due to time of the tide. All services were then stood down and returned to stations
