SINGER Charlotte Church has been unveiled as Plaid Cymru’s special guest for their virtual annual conference this year.
She will be joining Plaid Cymru Leader Adam Price MS for a special live event as part of the party’s conference program where the two will be discussing what independence could mean for Wales, the future facing Wales after Covid-19, and the challenges of life in lockdown.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ms Church said that the message of the independence movement should be that independence is “for all of us and no one is left behind” and that “independence is about a better Wales that is part of global citizenship”.
Ms Church said she would be looking forward to hearing Plaid Cymru Leader Adam Price’s vision for “education, sustainability, co-production and democracy” – as well as the part an independent Wales has to play in the “changes now facing the world”.
Charlotte Church said,
“It’s positive to see more and more people like me supporting the independence movement but I think the message needs to resonate far more that an independent Wales is for all of us and no one is left behind. For me, independence is about a better Wales that is part of global citizenship.
“I want to hear about Adam’s vision for education, sustainability, co-production and democracy and the part an independent Wales has to play in the changes now facing the world.
