The St Elli Shopping Centre held a fashion show in the Pyramid area of the centre on Wednesday (Apr 19). The event was in partnership with Jermin productions, who provided the models and dancers. The compare was Gavin Sheppard, who recently appeared in the BBC One program, “Rod Gilbert’s Work Experience” where Gavin’s full time job is manager of an estate agent in Cwmbran.
Centre Manager Andrew Stephens said “We have looked for some time to have a fashion show, and we thought why not during half term holidays. The central area under the glass pyramid is an ideal location, and we constructed a stage, with the back drop provided by Claire’s Flowers, and balloons by Card Centre”. Members of the public started sitting from 11:30 to make sure they had a good seat for the show.
Aimee Lewis who is the St Elli’s Marketing Manager said “We now have a number of fashion retailers in the centre, and it was great to see what they had to offer for spring and summer. All the fashion outlets in the St Elli took part including, George at Asda, Sports Direct, Miss Label, Yours Clothing, Roman and Peacocks as well as Bagz and Saul Cass Jewellers”.
Feedback from the public has been very positive. Andrew Stephens spoke to Susan Jones who watched the show from Steamin Mugs while having lunch. Suan said, “It was an amazing show, and you don’t realise how good a choice there is the St Elli Centre, and is now looking out for the next one.
