A 42-Year-old man appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday (Jan 23) facing two charges of theft.
The court heard that on 01/11/2019 at Llanelli, Richard Williams of Maes Y Coed, Llanelli stole a guitar, to the value of £49.99, belonging to Cash Generator Contrary to section 1(1) and 7 of the Theft Act 1968.
The court also heard that on 02/11/2019 at Llanelli Market Williams stole a black Gameboy wallet, to the value of £9.99, belonging to Retribution store Contrary to section 1(1) and 7 of the Theft Act 1968.
Williams pleaded guilty to both charges.
Williams was ordered to pay compensation of £49.99 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £90 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
A community order made whereby Williams must participate in an accredited programme for 19 days.
The Defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account during sentencing.
