Women in Llanelli are being offered the opportunity to take part in a free, career boosting project run by the Wales based gender equality charity Chwarae Teg. Agile Nation 2 Career Development Programme for women is a unique, inspirational programme which helps working women develop skills for team leading and management as part of the Agile Nation 2 project. It’s fully funded by the European Social Fund and Welsh Government and is offered free of charge to eligible women across Wales. The dedicated team at Chwarae Teg provides expert coaching, mentoring and accredited training designed to empower women to reach their potential.
So far women who have taken part in the project have achieved pay rises totalling around £400,000 thanks to their improved skills and confidence.
Emma Richards from Chwarae Teg said:
“We are currently on the lookout for more women from the Llanelli area who would be interested in taking part in the Agile Nation 2 programme. It is a great opportunity for women who are looking for a boost in their career but would like some help and support to climb the ladder, and also to become part of a group of like-minded women, sharing experiences and learning in a supportive, confidence-building environment. Many of our groups form friendships and support networks beyond graduation. The programme is currently available to women living or working in Llanelli and across Wales who work in an eligible sector. See our website for further information and to speak to one of the team – www.makeyourself.wales or call our enquiry line on 0300 365 0445”
