Camera Club to auction photos for Help Lilly Campaign
TROSTRE and Velindre Camera Club are putting on an exhibition of photographs at the St Elli Centre at the end of August. The event is organised by Camera Club member Sue Thomas.
Members of the club have generously decided to have donate prints, which will be sold to raise funds for Lilly Kendall who is waiting for a heart and double lung transplant. The event will take place on August 30th, 31st and September 1st.
Lilly isn’t one for sitting around waiting for life to happen. She gets out there and does what she can and sometimes it is with the help of charities like ‘Make A Wish’ who recently treated Lilly to a three-day trip to London. This time it was for a whirlwind of fun rather than a visit to the hospital.
It also happened to be Lilly’s 11th birthday and on day 1 she was taken to The Dorchester Hotel, which was followed by a trip in a limo to the West End to see ‘Matilda’
On day 2 Lilly went to Buckingham Palace and had a tour of the State Rooms. A meal at TGI Fridays followed.
The third day included a ride on the London Eye followed by a tour of the Dorchester Hotel.
Llanelli Online has been supporting the Help Lilly Campaign and there are more events planned to raise money for Lilly. You can also donate via her Just Giving Page which has been specifically to raise funds to make life a little easier for Lilly and her family who have to travel to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London on a regular basis.
