THERE are more woes for the High Street as Calvetron Brands Limited (CBL) confirmed the appointment of administrators today, Friday (May 4) placing 997 UK jobs in jeopardy.
The group, which includes womenswear retailers Jacques Vert, Dash, Precis and Eastex, has appointed Duff & Phelps to handle the administration.
The business currently trades from 300 concessions around the world and will continue to trade while all options are considered.
The concessions are spread across the UK, Canada, the UAE and Ireland and are also featured in concessions at House of Fraser and Debenhams stores.
Both these companies have also faced difficulties in recent months.
It is estimated that the Calverton Brands currently employs a total of 1408 people, including 997 in the UK, 155 in Ireland and 256 in Canada.
