A glittering masquerade ball took place at the Best Western Diplomat Hotel on Saturday (Feb 18). It was the 8th year of the love your heart ball, which was raising funds for the Cardiology Department at Prince Phillip Hospital in Llanelli. VIP Guests included the Shadow Secretary of State for Defence Nia Griffith MP, Mayor of Llanelli Councillor Bill Thomas and Chairman of the Llanelli Rural Council Steven Donoghue.
Before the evening’s entertainment got underway there was a speed auction conducted by Reverend Eldon Phillips, a game of heads or tails and a raffle, which raised a significant amount of money. Following a lavish three course dinner guests were treated to some wonderful musical entertainment provided by The Arrythmics.
