BURRY PORT Carnival Committee were overwhelmed by the generosity from the community in their recent Christmas Toy appeal for local under privileged children.
Drop off points at Burry Port Coop and CADNO Travel were inundated with toys, which will be given to underprivileged children in the community.
The Carnival Committee and members of the Pembrey Cycle Club met this evening, Tuesday (Dec 18) to sort through large numbers of boxes containing toys of all shapes and sizes.
Speaking on behalf of the Carnival Committee Cllr Amanda Fox said “There will be some very happy children on Christmas Day.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those wonderful people of Burry Port and surrounding areas who took the time to drop off something, which will go to a fabulous cause.”
