BURRY Port County Councillor Amanda Fox has heaped praise on a new community initiative, which opened its doors to the community on Monday (Jan 14).
Speaking about the new ‘Friendship Group’ Cllr Fox said:
“What an amazing community we live in. A new friendship group that has been set up in Burry Port opened its doors for their first meeting today.
“It was a great success with so many attending including Nathan Evans from Burry Port Co-op who always supports events in our community. Burry Port first responders, local councillors, members of the Rotary Club, the Red Cross, Diabetic support and so many more made the event a great success.
“A huge thank you must go to Lee Fox and Sharon and Mags for setting up such a wonderful venture. The group will meet every Monday in Jerusalem Vestry Burry Port from 2-4pm.
“The friendship group welcomes everyone. Thank you to everyone who attended today it was lovely seeing you all and a huge thank you to the ladies who made such a beautiful buffet.”
