Former brewery boss found guilty of assault

The court heard that between 23/07/2017 and 22/09/2017 Mr Buckley was alleged to have pursued a course of conduct, which amounted to the harassment of Julia Jones, which it was alleged he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of Julia Jones having allegedly sent her an email on the 31st of August and allegedly a further abusive email on the 21st of September 2017, Contrary to section 2 (1) and (2) of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

Mr Buckley pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was found not guilty and the case was dismissed.

Mr Buckley faced a further charge of assault by beating Contrary to Section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.

The court heard that on the 29/07/2017 at Llandeilo Mr Buckley had assaulted Gerald Jones by beating him. Mr Buckley pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Mr Buckley was found guilty and given a 24 month conditional discharge. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £1,500. No compensation order was made because the offence led to no physical injury.
