Annual Carnival Float requests are now available for the Bont carnival. This year’s parade will be held on Saturday, (Jun 24) and organisations are now starting to plan. This year’s theme is ‘Sporting Events’. If you wish to enter a float you will need to make a request. The carnival committee can also help with a donation towards your organisation to help dress the float.
All forms to be returned to Steve Lloyd-Janes 95 Iscoed Road, Hendy, SA4 0UW, Telephone – 07929797212 The parade starts in Hendy on Saturday (Jun 24). There’s cash prizes and lots of different trophies available for the various floats and groups walking. For the floats there’s a 1st Prize of £100 a 2nd Prize of £75 and a 3rd Prize of £50
There’s also a £50 grant donated to each float. (Parade marshal and judges have the powers to withhold the grant if they consider that the standard of float is not satisfactory). More details can be found on the Pontarddulais Carnival Facebook page.
