That’s a lot of turkey and sprouts!
In fact, Christmas dinner and New Year’s celebrations at Bluestone involved the preparation of 165 turkeys, the peeling of 350kgs of potatoes, 20kg of sprouts, 12kg of redcurrant jelly, 10kg of Cranberry sauce, with 354 guests booked in for lunch on Christmas day.
The 37 members of staff in the Food and Beverage team at Bluestone worked tirelessly to prepare the feast for guests on what is widely considered to be the festive feast of the year.
Pratik Bose, Back of House Manager at Bluestone said: “Here at Bluestone our job is to make sure people relax, unwind and take time to enjoy their surroundings in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside. Christmas is clearly one of the most special days for most families and at the very centre of that celebration is a wonderful Christmas dinner.
“Our team all worked really hard to ensure the feast was a very special and memorable one for all of our guests, and that’s a lot of turkeys to prepare.
“Thankfully the staff here at Bluestone is like a family in its own right, so we all rolled up our sleeves to really enjoy making our guests’ experience is a special one.”
All of the effort comes before the resort’s village opens up its free street food market to guests in what is a spectacular New Year’s Eve Party in the village.
