Bryn and Trallwm Sports and Social Club hosted a community fete and gala on Monday, (Aug 28).
The event ran from twelve o’clock through to seven o’clock in the evening.
Events included various inflatables, a kiddies carousel and many stalls which made for a fun day out for all. The club’s function room was turned into an under 3’s play area, which contained a bouncy castle together with many toddler toys.
This was the latest in a series of ways in which the club has tried to support the local community in its entirety. In May the club hosted it’s first Bank Holiday Fete and Gala for quite a long period and its success led to this latest event.
The club’s Steward, Councillor Jason Hart along with his colleagues and partner Ms Shelley Williams has been instrumental in setting up a free lunch club for children of the local area.
Chairman, Mr Bernard Davies, said: “It is the club’s wish to play an important focal and useful part at the heart of the community.”
This latest Bank Holiday event finished with all the children participating in a mini Olympics competition, which was the brainchild of the club’s Secretary, Mrs Christine Powell.
Mr Hart said: “The only thing that parents and supporters had to do during this part of the day was to sit on the patio and cheer long and loud.”
