Reports are coming in of armed police attending an incident in Murray Street Llanelli today, Thursday (May 18). Witnesses report a large number of armed police and police vehicles outside a property in Murray Street opposite the multi storey car park at approximately 2.30pm.
Dyfed-Powys Police have launched a series of drugs raids in Carmarthenshire and at this stage it is not known whether this incident is linked to those raids. Llanelli Online has contacted Dyfed-Powys Police for a statement.
During the recent raids police searched a property in Llanelli where cocaine and cannabis was seized, resulting in the arrest of five people for possession with intent to supply.
