THERE has been large police presence at Heol Bryngwili in Crosshands today, Saturday (Mar 17).
A video on social media shows a male being restrained on the floor in the middle of the road.
The incident is believed to have happened at approximately 12.10pm. The road was closed in both directions while police dealt with the incident.
Dyfed-Powys Police released the following statement: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report at approx.12.10pm this afternoon (17/3/18) of a distressed man, possibly in possession of a weapon at an address in Cross Hands. There were serious concerns for the safety of all at the scene, and officers attended supported by firearms officers as a precaution. The man was safely detained, arrested for a criminal damage offence and conveyed to custody, where he remains.”
