AM urges his constituents to share their views on energy services

Neil Hamilton AM

NEIL Hamilton, Leader of UKIP Wales and AM for Mid & West Wales, is calling on his constituents to have their say on energy services.

Mr Hamilton, Party Spokesman for the Environment, is urging people to take part in a survey for Wales & West Utilities, who are looking for feedback on the service they provide.

The company, which looks after the pipes bringing gas to homes and businesses in Mid and West Wales, serves communities across Wales and the south west of England.

They provide the national gas emergency service and invest £2 million a week looking after the gas network.

This summer, they are putting together their business plans for the future and seeking feedback from customers.

Mr Hamilton said: “I am delighted to see Wales & West Utilities are keen to connect with their customers and find out what they really want to see from their energy supplier.

“As household bills continue to rise, it is good to see the company is investing in collating the views of the public to prepare the gas network for the future, whilst at the same time keeping bills low.

“It is very important to maintain and improve services but it is also vital to receive feedback so they can deliver what is needed now, and for generations to come.

“I would urge people who live and work in Mid & West Wales to take part in the survey and help shape the future of the gas network.”

The Wales & West consultation is being promoted online, with a national TV advert and bus and newspaper advertising.

The company will also attend a number of events, this summer, including the Royal Welsh Show and National Eisteddfod in Wales, and the Royal Bath and West Show and Royal Cornwall Show in south west England.

The campaign aims to show that Wales & West Utilities is not just about connecting pipes, through the services provided, but also connects with people.
