
Carmarthenshire Targeting Team yesterday, Monday, 23 October seized cannabis estimated to be worth £8,000.
Police detectives and uniformed officers stopped a car in Bynea and initially found 500g cannabis resin, with a street value of around £5,000, hidden under a seat.
A search was later carried out at a property in Cae Terrace, Llanelli, where 300g herbal cannabis, a further 17g cannabis resin and three cannabis plants were found. Also recovered was mobile phones and digital weighing scales.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: ”A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intention to supply a class B drug and driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs. He has since been charged with failing to supply a specimen for analysis and bailed to appear at court at a later date. He has been released under investigation for the possession offence, while police carry out further enquiries.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intention to supply a class B drug, possession of a class B drug and driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs. She has been released under investigation while police carry out further enquiries.”
