A public disorder occurred in the vicinity of New Dock Road and Stanley Street area this afternoon, Sunday (May 20), which resulted in a man being injured and airlifted to hospital. He is currently in a stable condition.
The incident happened at around 3.20pm. Police received a report of a group of men fighting.
Five men have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody as enquiries are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward to help officers piece together a complete picture of what happened so that the offenders can be identified and dealt with appropriately.
