WITH the sun shining down on Llanelli it was perfect conditions for rugby as Llanelli Wanderers welcomed Aberystwyth to Stradey today, Saturday (Mar 30).
The home side opened the scoring with a penalty kick by Rhydian Morgan only for Aberystwyth to hit back with a penalty kick of their own.
The first try came from winger Jordan Evans, who managed to hand off his opposition number and stay in touch as he dived over in the left hand corner. Morgan was successful with his touchline conversion.
In the second half, the visitors managed to bring the score back level with a converted try but shortly afterwards Sianco Morgan went over to retake the lead. Morgan again slotted over the extras.
Morgan kept the scoreboard ticking with his second penalty kick of the match but a converted try by Aberystwyth kept the came tight.
Elgan Morgan crossed the line for his sides 3rd try. The conversion was missed.
The visitors kept fighting back and were rewarded with their own 3rd converted try but it was short lived as Jim went over for the Wanderers bonus point try to secure the win.
