LLANELLI Town Council is proud to once again support the Carmarthenshire Christmas Toy, Gift and wellbeing Hamper appeal.
The scheme, managed by the Carmarthenshire County Council’s Youth Support Service, provides gifts and food hampers to help families who struggle financially at Christmas.
The Town Council has purchased a number of toys that will be donated to the scheme for distribution across Llanelli in readiness for the Christmas period.
Town Mayor Cllr David Darkin said: “Christmas is often a time where families come under a great deal of financial pressure and I am really pleased this scheme is continuing to provide support to the most needy individuals in the Town to enable all the children of Llanelli to receive a Christmas present from their families.”
The Leader of Llanelli Town Council, Cllr Shahana Najmi said: “I am pleased that we as a Town Council are again able to support this excellent scheme and should anyone wish to donate a gift they can do so at the collection point in Llanelli Town Hall or at any of the other locations across Carmarthenshire.”
