Update on GP out-of-hours service

HYWEL Dda Health Board have provided an update on the GP out of hour services:

WE are currently experiencing a shortage of GPs to cover the Out of Hours service in Carmarthenshire overnight tonight. Efforts are continuing until the last possible moment to fill the shifts affected, which are for this evening and overnight at Glangwili General Hospital. Police update on ‘unexplained’ sudden deaths on Pembrokeshire Coast Path

DYFED-Powys Police Senior Investigating Officer, Superintendent Ross Evans, said: “The police investigation in to the sudden death of a man and woman, whose bodies were found on the coastal path near Newquay, is ongoing, and our sympathies are with their families at this sad time.

Carmarthen Workhouse fire treated as suspicious

POLICE in Carmarthen are investigating a fire which occurred at approximately 4.50pm on Friday, March 2nd, at the Old Workhouse, Penlan Road, Carmarthen.

The fire is currently being treated as suspicious. No-one was injured during the incident.

Two local male youths aged 14 and 15 were arrested in connection with the incident and later released under investigation.

Granby Close Fire Update: Dog rescued at scene

TWO fire crews were called to tackle a fire at a block of flats in Granby Close this evening, Monday (Jan 8).

The fire was confined to a bedroom. There were no reports of any injuries. A dog was rescued from the flats and was said to be doing fine.

Llangammarch Wells Latest Update: 5th body identified as 6-year-old boy Patch Raine

POLICE have issued an update on the fatal fire that occurred in Llangammarch Wells on 30th October.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Slevin of Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Sadly I can confirm that a fifth body, recovered from the scene, has now been positively identified as 6 year old Patch Raine.

Hendy crash latest

Dyfed-Powys Police are appealing for witnesses to the A4138 collision in Hendy, which happened in the early hours of the morning today, Wednesday (Sep 21).
