18-year-old arrested in connection with robbery of Llanelli pensioner

UPDATE: An 18-year-old man has been charged with robbery following the theft of a 76-year-old woman’s purse in Llanelli.

Jonathan Levi Edwards will appear before Llanelli Magistrates’ Courts this afternoon (16/5).

DYFED-Powys Police investigating the robbery of a 76-year-old woman in Llanelli have arrested an 18-year-old man.

Dyfed-Powys Police received a report that the victim’s purse had been stolen at around 9.15am on Sunday (May 13) in the Stafford Street area.

POLICE have arrested two people in connection with two reported robberies in Llanelli.

They are said to have taken place during the early hours of Sunday, October 29.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: ''As a result of a swift and coordinated response and investigation using specialist resources, a 25-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man, both from Llanelli, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Police are appealing for information after four handbags were stolen from a shop in Carmarthen.

The incident occurred on Monday, 21 August between 3pm and 4pm.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating the theft of four handbags from TK Maxx, Carmarthen.
