Red hot heat for runners at Coast Park Run

DAI Lenscap managed to miss the Irish ferry this morning and so he had to hot foot it by bicycle back to Llanelli to cover the latest and 71st Coast Park Run.

In between iced lollies and a few 99's, our Dai complete with Bermuda Shorts, Hawaian shirt and Panama hat managed to snap some of the people barmy enough to take to the asphalt on one of the hottest April days in decades, today, Saturday (Apr 21).

IT was event number 264 as 116 runners celebrated the Llyn Llech Owain's 5th birthday. It is the 7th park run to start in wales.

David Smith from Wolverhampton and Bliston AC came in first at 18.25

Melanie Davies 21.48 min.

It was not an easy run in hard conditions with plenty of mud. All of the runners did exceptionally well.

The answer is blowin in the wind

Ever wondered how those folks with chiseled faces, healthy complexions and a spring in their step get to be that way? Wonder no more. The answer was blowing in the wind at Llanelli's regular Coast Park Run on Saturday (Jan 27) as 81 runners pounded the pathways in their attempts to get or stay fit. More power to their daps we say as well as many thanks to our 'STAR' photographer Byron Williams. We will eventually supply him with a cagoule.

Running in the family

Running in the family couldn't be a more apt phrase for the Webbs from Burry Port. The family enjoy their running and it was plain to see on the Park Run on Saturday (Aug 5) as the throngs took to pounding the well worn track for the hell of it.
The guys try in vain to keep up with their father (Ian) who is an experienced runner of 35 years. Son Leighton is a police officer (traffic) for Dyfed-Powys Police. Scott Williams was also...
