New 24-hour defibrillator for Llangennech

LLANGENNECH Community Councillors are delighted that there is now a defibrillator with 24 hour access in the village.

The Community Councillors praised the Ambulance Service and "Cariad" for supplying the defibrillator and case.

Llangennech Craft Fair & Table Top Sale this Saturday

LLANGENNECH'S monthly Craft Fair and Table Top Sale takes place at Llangennech Community Centre on Saturday (May 26).
This event is held on the last Saturday of every month (except in July and August).
Admission is free an is open from 9:30am until 1pm with all 40 stalls under cover. The cafe will be open where you can buy refreshments and have a chat.

63-year-old man jailed for 4 years for sexual assault on a child

A 63-year-old man has been jailed for four years for sexual assault on a child under the age of 13 and possession of indecent images.

Graham Harry John Rogers, of Llangennech, was sentenced at Swansea Crown Court on May 9.

As well as the prison sentence, he is required to register for life as a sex offender and a sexual harm prevention order has been granted.

Llangennech beat Felinfoel to claim derby bragging rights

LLANGENNECH defeated Felinfoel by 7 wickets to claim the local derby bragging rights on Saturday (May 5).

With doubts beforehand on whether the match would go ahead, the start was delayed by nearly two hours due to the poor conditions of the outfield in Llangennech Park.

Llangennech’s Cracking Christmas Parade

THE annual Llangennech Christmas Fair and Parade took place on Saturday (Dec 9) and attracted hundreds of people to the village for festive family fun.

The day's proceedings began at 2pm, with activities catering for both the children and the adults. For the elders there were craft stalls and a live brass band filling the Community Centre with Christmas cheer. The children were spoilt for choice with Santa's Grotto, a bouncy castle, music and refreshments.
