Progress being made on Burry Port RNLI station

THE new RNLI station at Burry Port is flying up as this video from Byron Williams shows.

Given the increase in numbers of people now taking part in leisure activities at sea, it really will be a welcome investment for the future.

The temporary access is crucial for the RNLI to get to the estuary and carry out their work. Please be considerate and do not park in the area. There are signs in place. The slip could be used at any time of the night or day.


Major funding boost for transport and road safety

Special Constable achieves dream of becoming a police officer

FOR Jason Carmichael, becoming a Special Constable is fulfilling a lifelong dream of joining the police.

At the age of 45, the construction company owner is realising his ambition and training to become a volunteer officer with Dyfed-Powys Police.
