‘Serious’ one vehicle RTC on A40 near Llandeilo

CARMARTHENSHIRE roads policing officers are dealing with a one vehicle, serious RTC on the A40 between Llandeilo and The Cottage Inn on that stretch.

It was reported at approximately 4.25pm this afternoon and it has been necessary to close the road.

It will be closed until further notice, which could be some time, so the advice is to please avoid the area.

Fatal single vehicle RTC on Llandeilo Road, Cross Hands

DYFED-Powys Police were called to a single vehicle RTC on Llandeilo Road, Cross Hands, at around 4:30pm today (Thursday, June 7).

The vehicle had left the carriageway and collided with a lamp post before coming to rest against the front of a house.

Despite the best efforts of members of the public, police, fire and air ambulance crews, the driver of the vehicle was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were believed to be involved and no one else was hurt.

Police arrest two men on suspicion of quad bike theft

DYFED-Powys Police have arrested two men on suspicion of stealing a quad bike from the Llandeilo area.

The force received a report of a quad and car being driven suspiciously at around 1:15am today (Thursday, May 10), and officers were immediately dispatched to the area.

The car was stopped and the driver, a 19-year-old man from Llangadog, was arrested on suspicion of theft and failing to stop.

Burry Port put seven past Llandeilo

HOOKER Iwan Roberts scored twice to help Burry Port ease past Llandeilo 43 - 3 at home.

The visitors, who were outperformed in every department, could only manage a penalty goal from Glyn Jones in a one-sided encounter.

Llandeilo Hotel offers the homeless shelter from the storm

The White Hart Hotel in Llandeilo has offered rooms to the homeless looking for a bed for the night. Other people have offered to collect and ferry those in need of a bed to and from the hotel.

The extraordinarily kind gesture was made via their Facebook page and has already attracted messages of support and thanks.

Police appeal to find NOK of woman involved in fatal RTC

DYFED-Powys Police is trying to trace the next of kin of a 58-year-old lady who sadly died as a result of a road traffic collision in Carmarthenshire, south-west Wales.

It is believed the female pedestrian was hit by a car while walking along the B4302 road between Llanedilo and Talley at around 6pm on January 29, 2018.

Police are yet to inform the lady’s next of kin of her death as they have been unable to find anyone linked to her.

Police investigate fatal Llandeilo RTC

DYFED-Powys Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the B4302 near New Inn, Llandeilo, at around 6pm yesterday (Jan 29).

In a statement, Dyfed-Powys Police said: ''It appears a woman has been hit by a car while walking along the road between Llandeilo and Talley. The driver reported the collision to police but sadly the woman died.

''The car, a green Volkswagen Transporter, was travelling from Rhosmaen towards Talley.
