Kidwelly goes Carnival Crackers

WHAT a perfect day for a carnival it was on Saturday (Jul 14). At around 12 midday a plethora of characters including Elvis Presley, Old Miss Donald and her family, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Wonder Woman and a Panda driving a tractor made their way to Parc Stephens to take part in the parade.

The carnival field was already decked out with stalls and fairground rides as well as a stage set for magician Van Buren. No Red Arrows or Red Barrows this year.

RSPCA remove large number of horses from Kidwelly farm

A joint operation between Dyfed-Powys Police and the RSPCA took place today, Thursday (Jun 21) at a rural location in Kidwelly.

Llanelli Online witnessed a number of horses being led away and transported from the property in horse boxes at around 1:30pm.

The RSPCA had a large presence at the site and they were aided by a number of officers from Dyfed-Powys Police.

Band to belt out the beats for charity

Flood Alert in force for Carmarthenshire coast

A flood alert has been issued for the Carmarthenshire coast to the east of Llanelli, between Pendine and Hendy.

The alert states that the greatest impact will be today, Tuesday (April 17) from 8am until 8pm.

Natural Resources Wales said: "Over the next few days high tides are expected to coincide with tidal surge and moderate to large offshore waves.

Kidwelly Co-op dresses up to fight dementia

Great community support for KAMPS

KIDWELLY and Mynyddygarreg Panto Society (KAMPS) are planning to stage a Panto in early 2019. It will be a reintroduction of a great tradition in both Kidwelly and Mynyddygarreg.
