Emergency services called to house fire in Pontyates

THE Emergency Services were called out to a house fire on Heol Llanelli in Pontyates today, Sunday (Jul 22).

A bystander told Llanelli Online that the fire had begun at approximately 7pm although that has not yet been confirmed by Mid and West Wales Fire and rescue Service.

There were no reports of anyone having been injured.

The fire appears to have taken hold in a bedroom in the two storey cottage.

Police arrest 16-year-old female in connection with Burry Port house fire

POLICE have arrested a 16-year-old in connection with a house fire at Mansel Street in Burry Port. Dyfed-Powys Police issued the following statement:

“Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a house fire at Mansel St, Burry Port which was reported at 9.45am on Tuesday the 10th of July 2018.

Police are treating this fire as suspicious.

There has been an increased police presence in Mansel St which will continue into Wednesday 11th of July 2018.

THE Mid and West Fire and Rescue Service have issued an update on the fire at a property on Mansel Street in Burry Port.

The statement reads;

"On Tuesday, 10/07/2018 at 09:27am, crews from Llanelli, Kidwelly and Gorseinon attended a property fire in Mansel Street, Burry Port.

Emergency Services attend house fire in Burry Port

THE Emergency Services have been at the scene of a house fire in Mansel Street Burry Port today, Tuesday (Jul 10).

The incident began at approximately 10 am this morning. A large number of emergency services vehicles and personell were at the scene.

26-year-old arrested in relation to 7 vehicle fires in Llanelli

DYFED-Powys Police is investigating a number of vehicle fires which occurred in Llanelli in the early hours of this morning, Friday (Jul 6).

Three vehicles in Heol Gwyr, Llanelli and four vehicles in Parc Pemberton were damaged by the fires.

The fires are being treated as suspicious and a 26 year old male has been arrested on suspicion of arson. He currently remains in police custody.

MAWWFRS issue update on Burry Port grass fire

MAWWFRS have issued an update on the grass fire which occurred at Burry Port yesterday, Wednesday (July 4):

On Wednesday, 04/07/2018 at 04:50pm, crews from Llanelli attended a grass fire in Burry Port.

Approximately 1.5 acres of grassland was on fire and extinguished by firefighters using a hose reel jet, two knapsack sprayers and beaters.

The Fire Service left the incident at 05:33pm.

THE Emergency Services have attended a grass fire in Burry Port. The blaze, which started at approximately 5pm today, Wednesday (Jul 4) took hold on a large area of grass close to the new Burry Port School.
