Scarlets hammer Bath in spectacular fashion at the REC

SCARLETS have moved to the top of their pool in the European Rugby Champions Cup with a 35-17 victory over Bath at the Recreation Ground.

It was superb attacking rugby by the visitors, securing the 4th try bonus point in the 51st minute. Bath did respond with two consolation tries through Matt Banahan and Zach Mercer.

Scarlets next generation outclassed by Exeter

THE Scarlets suffered a heavy defeat against Exeter Chiefs at Parc Y Scarlets today in the first round of the Anglo Welsh cup.

The Welsh side, missing a large number of first team players through injury and international duty, fielded a young side with all but one of the starting XI aged 25 or under.

Chiefs, who led 12 - 0 at half time, scored six tries through Shaun Malton, James Freeman and Tom Hendrickson along with three penalty tries in a one sided encounter.
