Lucky escape for family as car flips over on ice

A mother and her two young children had a lucky escape when the car they were travelling in flipped over having apparently hit ice on the A476 Llanelli to Llannon road toady, Friday (Feb 9).

A motorist who stopped at the scene told Llanelli Online: "The car had been travelling in the direction of Llannon but may have hit some ice on the road, flipped over and was facing in the direction of Llanelli.

Family tribute to victim of fatal RTC on M4 

SOUTH Wales Police have issued a statement in connection with a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the M4 between junction 45 and 46 on Thursday (Jan 25) The family of the victim have also paid an emotional tribute.

Police update on Llethri Road RTC

DYFED-Powys Police attended a two vehicle road traffic collision on Llethri Road, Llanelli, at approximately 5.20am this morning (January 18).

A Vauxhall Vivaro and a Vauxhall Astra were involved in the collision.

The female driver of the Astra gave a positive road side breath test. She'd suffered injuries in the collision and was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.

The vehicles were recovered, road cleaned and re-opened by 7.50am. Police enquiries are on-going.

Emergency services attend RTC on Stradey Rd

The B4308 road between Furnace and the turn off for Denham Avenue was closed from 3pm til 4pm today, Friday (Jan 12) following an RTC involving a motorcycle.

Car overturns in RTC on the B4309

Police attended a road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 7.55am on Wednesday (Nov 29) on the  B4309 road from Five Roads to Furnace.

A blue Volkswagon Polo left the road and overturned into a field. The Welsh AmbulanceService also attended the scene.

THE emergency services have attended what has been described as a major road traffic collision at a junction near Corporation Avenue and Heol Goffa this evening, Friday (Nov 17). Car seized following Pontyates RTC

Dyfed-Powys Police have seized a car following an road traffic collision (RTC) involving the vehicle on the junction of the B4309 and the B4317 in Pontyates.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police attended Heol y Meinciau at 11.05pm on Monday, August 21, 2017 following reports of a car blocking the road.

“The car, a black Ford Fiesta, had hit a kerb and wall.

“The car was seized and the driver reported for having no insurance.”

RTC at Lliedi Crescent

Dyfed-Powys Police attended an RTC involving a motorcycle and a car, in Lliedi Crescent, Llanelli after receiving reports at around 4:40pm yesterday [Monday 7 August].

One man attended hospital, his injuries are not thought to be serious.

The road was closed at Corporation Avenue and re-opened at 9:30pm.
