DYFED-Powys Police has released photographs of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Llanelli.
The force is investigating the incident, which took place on the footpath behind Clos Sant Paul at around 6.30am on Wednesday, June 13. Previous appeals for information have not resulted in a suspect being identified.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, walked along Dilwyn Street and to the footpath which links Clos Sant Paul with the Railway Club when she said the man approached her and asked for the time. He then demanded her phone and bag, but was disturbed and made off with no items.
Investigating officers believe the man pictured could help enquiries, and are appealing for him or anyone who can identify him to come forward.
He is described as white, with blue eyes, a wrinkled face, believed to be in his mid to late 20s, of average build and approximately 5ft 8” to 5ft 9” tall.
“We have come to a point where we need to ask for the public’s assistance in identifying a man we believe could help move our investigation forward. We are hoping his hooded top is a distinctive feature.”
“If you think it is you pictured in these images, or you know who the person is, we would urge you to contact us by calling 101, quoting incident number 30 of June 13, 2018.”
