PETER Francis auctioneers in Carmarthen are excited to announce that they have had an oil painting by local Welsh artist Vyvyan Davies consigned by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
The painting was generously donated to the Burry Port branch of the RNLI by the artist himself.
Fittingly the picture is a marine scene depicting Burry Port lighthouse and the proceeds will go to their new Lifeboat Station appeal.
The painting will be part of the Winter Fine Auction on November 28th with an estimate of £600-1000.
As with all items consigned by charities Peter Francis are selling the painting with no sellers fees so the maximum amount will go to this worthy cause.
The picture will be displayed at Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli until closer to the time of the Fine Art Auction.
Vyvyan is from Wales but has only recently moved back to the area. He has exhibited in Art Galleries in London, Cardiff, Saundersfoot and Narberth.
