DOT Jones, a county councillor for Llannon, arranged for Carmarthenshire County Council to provide a skip for residents in Tumble earlier this month.

Nia Griffith MP, who attended the community skip day on Friday (Nov 2) said: “Good to see Labour councillor Dot Jones organising a skip for Tumble residents, who filled it up very quickly.

“Maesgwern is a long way from the tip so this is a real help to people.”

Cllr Dot Jones said: “I am really pleased by the response we had in Maesgwern this afternoon and it was great to help local people. Hopefully I will be able to arrange this for other parts of the Llannon ward in the near future.

“Thank you to our MP Nia Griffith for showing her support and working together for better communities in Carmarthenshire.”
