This will be the first year the academy have competed. The young talented ladies will be competing against other gymnasts from all over the world.
There is a lot of pressure on the girls from Llanelli, especially the youngest, Grace woods and Imogen Coslett who are only 6 and 7 as they represent their country.
The academy have had a very successful year to date and hope to return home with more medals.
As Llanelli Rhythmic gymnastics academy is run solely on volunteers, many of these gymnasts struggle to get sponsorship as they are so young. The club are we hoping to raise as much as possible for these talented girls to compete in such a huge competition in Portugal.
Head coach Linda Thomas is very proud of the academy and believes it will go from strength to strength. Laura Halford and Gemma Frizelle are also part of the academy and they themselves started off as mini’s and now compete all over the world.
Any businesses or independents that would be interested in sponsoring the girls or the gym as a whole are asked to get in touch and your details will be passed onto the relevant person.
Llanelli Online wishes these amazing girls the best of luck in the competition. We are sure they will do Llanelli proud.
