LLANELLI Town Centre was a centre of culture on Saturday (Mar 24) as people of all ages took part in the plethora of activities on offer.

Parking was free and as if by magic, they were all full. Who said free parking doesn’t work?

The Royal British Legion Brass Band filled Stepney Square with live music ably directed by a very young and talented conductor.

Carnival Dragons greeted children and their families as they walked along Stepney Street.

The St Elli Centre hosted a number of events including; group singing, dancing and musical instrument workshops.  The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were also on hand providing advice on faulty sockets and fire alarms.

Llanelli Market provided activity workshops for children. There was even heavenly music wafting through the market as played by  a visiting harpist

There were art workshops at the library, where children covered in paint brought their creative ideas to life.

This was an exceptionally successful family event run by Ymlaen Llanelli The BID. It definitely had the impact it intended in bringing more people into the town centre. More events are planned throughout the year. You will see them all listed and featured here on Llanelli Online. Your #1 Hyperlocal community news site for Llanelli.
