THE Llanedi Community Council will shortly be considering the nominations for the Terry Price Youth Achievement Award 2017. The Award is intended to recognise and celebrate the achievements of young people under the age of 25 who reside within the Council’s area of responsibility – the villages of Tycroes, Llanedi, Fforest and Hendy (including Talyclun) and surrounding districts.
The Award is given for significant personal achievement in any field, such as:-
• Sport – including all team games, athletics and individual games
• Creative and expressive arts – including drama, writing, music, art and crafts
• Social, environmental and community activities – including any activities which improve the environment or the lives of people living in the community (for example, aiding the infirm, disabled or disadvantaged)
• Academic success – including outstanding achievement in examinations or significant progress in overcoming particular personal difficulties, such as poor health, disability or other disadvantages.
The winning nominee will receive a plaque and a cash prize of £100.
