A Llanelli man has been sent for trial at Swansea Crown Court facing charges of making indecent images of children. 24-year-old Alex Michael Senior of Bryn Terrace, Llanelli appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (Aug 30).

The court heard that on 30/03/2006-29/07/2017 at Llanelli the defendant is alleged to have made 4 indecent photographs, namely Category A images of a child Contrary to Sections 1(1)(a) and 6 of the Protection of Children Act 1978.

The court heard that on 30/03/2006-29/07/2017 at Llanelli Senior is alleged to have made 2 indecent photographs, namely Category B images of a child Contrary to Sections 1(1)(a) and 6 of the Protection of Children Act 1978.

Furthermore on 30/03/2006-29/07/2017 at Llanelli Senior is alleged to have made 19 indecent photographs, namely Category C of a child Contrary to Sections 1(1)(a) and 6 of the Protection of Children Act 1978 and on 28/07/2017 at Llanelli is alleged to have possessed 3 extreme pornographic images which portrayed in an explicit and realistic way an act which threatened a person’s life and which was grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character Contrary to sections 63(1), (7)(a) and 67(2) of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.

Senior was sent for trial under section 51(1) & (2)(b) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 to appear before Swansea Crown Court on 01/10/2018
