IT was an experience not to forget as 100 year 6 pupils of the Glan-Y-Môr family climbed Pen-Y-Fan on Wednesday (May 23).

Pupils from Ysgol y Castell, Pembrey, Burry Port and Pwll took part in the climb and were lucky enough to have clear blue skies throughout the day.

Head of School John Jones said: “It was an amazing day and a brilliant learning experience for the one hundred pupils.”

But they won’t stop there, next year they have plans to travel to Snowdonia and climb Snowdon.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and the third highest in the UK.
