APPEARING before Carmarthenshire Magistrates’ Court sitting at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on 12/07/2018

38-year-old Mrs Shelley Anne Rice of Tirycoed Road, Ammanford

The Court heard that on 22/01/2018 Mrs Rice drove a motor vehicle on a dual carriageway road at a speed exceeding 70 miles per hour, 60 miles per hour, and 50 miles per. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 86 miles per hour.

56-year-old Helen Stott of Graig Row, Bridgend

The Court heard that on 22/11/2017 Stott drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road (Coity Road), at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 38 miles per hour.

Taking into account the defendant’s guilty claim, Helen Stott was fined £40.00. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30.00 and costs of £85.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

75-year-old Mr Raymond Terrance Broome of Ffrydd Terrace, Powys

The Court heard that on 02/01/2018 Mr Broome drove a mechanically propelled vehicle in Aldi Supermarket Car Park, Llandindod Wells, without due care and attention in that a pedestrian was walking along the car park and was returning to their parked vehicle. Mr Broome entered the car park and whilst looking for a parking space, collided with the read of the pedestrian, causing them to fall to the ground. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries comprising of a broken fibula to their left leg, bruising to their right leg and elbow, and pain to their shoulder and neck area.

Taking into account the defendant’s guilty plea, Mr Broome was fined £119.00. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30.00 and costs of £85.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

41-year-old Darren Davies of Station Road, Kidwelly

The Court heard that on 04/01/2018 Mr Davies used a motor vehicle when there was no insurance in force covering that use of the vehicle.

Taking into account the defendant’s guilty plea, Mr Davies was fined £200.00. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

82-year-old Mr Thomas Gerwyn Clive John of New Road, Haverfordwest

The Court heard that on 29/01/2018 Mr John drove a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road, namely at traffic lights near Thomas Parry Way, Haverfordwest, without due care and attention. Mr John contravened a one way system road and traveled on the incorrect side of the another road for a short distance.

Taking into account the defendant’s guilty plea, Mr John was fined £40.00. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30.00 and costs of £85.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

54-year-old Mr David Paul King of Cwmamman Road, Ammanford

The Court heard that on 25/01/2018 Mr King drove a motor vehicle when the front offside wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed.
