LLANELLI was transformed into a food destination town today Saturday (Oct 20) as Ymlaen Llanelli, sprinkled some wholesome ingredients including planning, organisation and hard work.
The results? A veritable 5 star multiple course meal for those fortunate enough to ramble amongst the numerous stalls selling their wares.
Not only were there stalls selling food but there were stalls giving cookery demonstrations too.
The St Elli Centre was filled with delightful smells as the chefs did their thing watched on by food fans as attentive as my old gran when she was watching the wrestling.
The streets were filled with the smell of noodles of every kind, roasting lamb, pulled pork, pizzas and an abundance of street foods to tempt any self respecting foodie.
The organisers did not scrimp on the contents of this hot pot of street temptation. They threw in a little entertainment by way of some singers and there you have it. Ready to serve and all washed down with a fine choice of beers, wines and even cocktails, shaken not stirred of course.
If you missed it don’t worry. Here is a free sample for you.
Ymlaen Llanelli is the 8th Business Improvement District (BID) to be established in Wales. It is led by town centre businesses and aims to give businesses a stronger more collaborative voice and the power to lead change for the town centre.
