THE Crew at Llanelli fire station have reminded parents at the new Ysgol Pen Rhos school to be ‘mindful when parking’.
It comes after the emergency service vehicle had difficulty in travelling along roads near the school.
A comment on the station’s Facebook page said: “Ask yourself when you park, could an emergency service vehicle pass through?
“We kindly ask all parents and guardians of pupils of Ysgol Pen Rhos to consider parking when picking up and dropping off your children at school.
“Any delay in an emergency response could be the difference between life or death. Every minute counts.”
Deputy Mayor of Llanelli Louvain Roberts commented: “It is much worse since the new school opened”.
Another said: “There are already significant issues with the parking around the new school. Why do the council never give consideration to this?”
