THOUSANDS of House of Fraser customers have been left in the lurch and left out of pocket awaiting refunds based on a promise by Sports Direct to refund customers who are waiting on undelivered goods.
Within days of the rescue out of administration for the giant retailer by Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct a statement was issued on Twitter apologising for “delays with delivering online orders” promising to “cancel and refund all orders that have not already been sent”.
The message was that ‘customers would receive an email regarding their refunds in a couple of days’.
Almost a month after the £90 million buy out that promise appears to have been reneged on and disgruntled customers are taking to social media to air their grievances.
The advice for customers has been for them to contact administrators EY, which in turn sends them to the back of the queue of unsecured creditors which are still owed multiple millions following its downfall.
