A series of events held in Burry Port has raised a whopping £400 for a dementia group.

The money was raised from two fundraising events. The first was a Christmas Fayre and the second was a family evening of entertainment held in February of this year (2019) .

Both events were held at the Shoreline Leisure Park in Burry Port.

Cllr Amanda Fox who was one of the organisers of the event  said that the community had been really supportive of both events. She said: “Kirsty has worked really hard and decided to give half the funds to the local dementia group in memory of her grandfather (Ampie) who had had dementia and past away last year.
