Singathon to raise funds for Tenovus Cancer Care

If singing is what you like then head down to the St Elli Centre tomorrow, Saturday (Jul 14) for the 'Singathon'.

The fun starts at 10am and the event will feature choirs, a ukulele band, a swing band and a Neil Diamond tribute act.

Anyone looking to warble some tunes is welcome. It is free entry and donations will be collected on the day.

Why not go on camera X Factor style and belt out a tune for our reporter Iwan Lewis who will be there to capture the event.

Dog Show to raise funds for new RNLI station

You'd be barking mad to miss this one if you have a pooch.

The Pembrey and Burry Port Carnival Committee have recovered following the carnival and have pulled together to put on a dog show on Sunday (jul 15).

There are loads of categories to enter. Good luck to all those taking part.

Pembrey & Burry Port Carnival

 

THE 2018 Pembrey and Burry Port Carnival takes place this Saturday (July 7) at the Marina Fields in Burry Port Harbour.

On the day there will be a bunch of activities including a Pirate Stunt Show, live music from Leroy and Firewater, stalls, food and bar.

The parade will depart from Dyfatty at 1pm.

Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for children and O.A.P's.

Cylch Meithrin Felinfoel wins Wales’ first Gold Star Standard Award

1911 Week in Llanelli

THE theme of the 1911 week in Llanelli is suffrage this year, which is of course the centenary of 1918 with women over 30 getting the vote and also of all ordinary working men getting the vote as many of them were excluded prior to 1918.

Free First Aid training at Llangennech Community Centre

THERE will be two upcoming free First Aid training sessions at Llangennech Community Centre.

Both sessions run from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Places are limited to 20 people per session so early booking is advised.
