Nancy celebrates 101st birthday with a game of bingo

WHAT do you do to celebrate when you reach the grand old age of 101? You get all your friends together and head to Tumble Hall to play bingo of course.  That is exactly what Nancy Swinley originally from bonnie Scotland now living in Crosshands did today, Tuesday (Jan 30).

Late Tumble try secures derby victory at Ponty

A late try saw Tumble edge out Pontyberem 26-21 in a tight local derby at Pontyberem Park.

It was the home side who started strongly, with two tries from captain Adrian Williams giving them a 15-7 lead at half-time.

However three second half tries were enough for the visitors to bank a bonus-point win in muddy conditions in front of a large vocal crowd.

Pontyberem did get a losing bonus point, their next match is at home against St Clears RFC.

Specialist investigators secure justice for three-year-old victim

Trevor Vinson, aged 38, of Tumble, has been given a 21-year extended sentence for sexual assault against a three-year-old girl.

A six year extension was added to the 15 years prison term, should he breach conditions when on licence.

Jailed for Tumble burglary

A 29-year-old man has been jailed following a burglary in Lower Tumble.

A report was received at around 10.30am on June 26 that a garage and vehicle had been broken into. Marc Morrison, of Bethesda Road in Tumble was identified as selling items on Facebook which the victim could confirm were stolen.

Morrison was charged with burglary on Wednesday, June 28 and sentenced at Llanelli...
