The answer is blowin in the wind

Ever wondered how those folks with chiseled faces, healthy complexions and a spring in their step get to be that way? Wonder no more. The answer was blowing in the wind at Llanelli's regular Coast Park Run on Saturday (Jan 27) as 81 runners pounded the pathways in their attempts to get or stay fit. More power to their daps we say as well as many thanks to our 'STAR' photographer Byron Williams. We will eventually supply him with a cagoule.

Last Coast Parkrun of 2017

Saturday (Dec 30) saw at least 131 runners taking part in the last Coast Parkrun of 2017 blowing the cobwebs away before 2018 arrived. Conditions were chilly but dry, which appeared to suit GP John Collier who finished the run in 17mins 53 secs. John has taken part in the Llanelli Coast Parkrun on several occasions. As the New Year gets underway the athletes will be looking ahead to more events and Llanelli Online will be there as always to bring you the photos courtesy of Byron Williams.

That pixie with a camera Byron Williams was out and about snapping the fitness fanatics as they pounded the tarmac, setting off from...

Santa’s Sunday Dash

Sunday's are for chilling out and tucking that Sunday lunch away with a cheeky beer or glass of wine followed by a late evening tipple. At this time of year a nice G & T or a sherry. But NO! Some prefer to don a Santa suit and run through Llanelli for a couple of miles in order to raise some cash for charity.

That's what a large number of adults, children and dogs did today (10 Dec) as part of the annual Santa Dash, raising funds for Little Princess Trust.

The event began with...

Llanelli Coast Parkrun’s half century

The Llanelli Coast Parkrun celebrated its 50th outing today, Saturday (Nov 4). Those lycra clad men women and children took to pounding the tarmac despite the chilly conditions on the eve of Guy Fawkes - Bonfire Night. Photographer Byron Williams was there hopping around like a Jacky Jumper as usual to capture all the action.
