Nearly 300 runners take part in Ammanford 10K road race

THE town of Ammanford hosted the second of two running events in the space of a few weeks last Sunday (Jul 8) following the Junior Fun Run earlier in June where 380 youngsters ran around the track.

Beach Warriors event takes over the sands of Cefn Sidan

OVER 500 runners took part in the Beach Warriors 5-mile challenge on Sunday (May 13) on the sands of Cefn Sidan beach.

With the sun shining and blue skies children and adults of all ages enjoyed taking part in the races.

THE sun shone brightly for the 31st annual Trap Show Charity Fun Run which took place on Sunday (May 13).

Ospreys fullback Dan Evans sounded the hooter to start the 4.7 mile Open Race and the 2.8 mile race for juniors and walkers.

Sun shines for Carmarthen Mayor’s Races

THE 37th Carmarthen Mayor's Races were held earlier today, Bank Holiday Monday (May 7). Given it was a holiday it gave an opportunity for the whole family, people of all ages and all abilities to get involved.

The race took runners through the streets of the town centre on what was possibly one of the warmest days the event has been held, with recorded temperatures in the mid to high teens for most of the day.
