Police appeal after £5k theft from B&Q Carmarthen

DYFED-Powys Police is appealing for information following a theft of goods worth almost £5,000 from the B&Q store in Carmarthen.

The theft took place between 6-9pm on Monday (Apr 9).

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, tall, of broad build with short brown light hair. There may have been two other men operating with him.

Police warn quad bike owners to up their security

DYFED-Powys Police is warning people to make sure security measures are in place to protect quad bikes, in response to a spate of thefts.

There were nine reports of stolen quad bikes in April, the highest figure recorded for Dyfed-Powys in a month in the last two years, with most thefts occurring in Carmarthenshire.

DYFED-Powys Police are concerned about 13-year-old Hannah Hartnell missing from the Haverfordwest area since lunch time today, Tuesday (May 8).

Hannah is possibly wearing her school uniform of light blue polo shirt, black trousers and a black coat.

Police issue safety warning following vehicle break in’s

DYFED-Powys Police has issued a warning to people in trades to increase their security, following two van incidents in the Tycroes area.

The separate offences happened some time over night on Saturday, April 28.

Between 6pm on April 28 and 10am an April 29, a power tools including a Duwalt jigsaw, Duwalt core drill and laser level, were stolen from a white Ford Transit van at Brynhafod, Tycroes.

Police appeal following quad bike theft in Carmarthen

DYFED-Powys Police is investigating the theft of a quad bike from Peniel, Carmarthen.

The red Suzuki 400 quad bike was stolen sometime between 11pm on Wednesday,  April 25 and 8am on Thursday, April 26.

Police appeal following 4 vehicle RTC on Station Rd

DYFED-Powys Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision which occurred in Station Road/Murray Street.

The incident is said to have happened on Saturday (May 5) at around 11:45pm.

Both police vehicles and an ambulance attended the scene.

Four vehicles were involved and all occupants were checked over by paramedics.

Police ask for any witnesses to call 101 or message 412.

Police appeal following assault in Carmarthen

DYFED-Powys Police has released two photos of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Carmarthen.

The force is investigating an assault which took place in Lammas Street at around 3am on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, reported being punched in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. He was left with a bump on his head and an injury to his lip which required stitches.

DYFED-Powys Police are trying to locate Shaun Leo Marshall Hearne, aged 23.

He is wanted as a suspect for a number of driving offences and for recall to prison.

He was last seen in the Pinged area of Carmarthenshire and has links to Llanelli.

Police appeal following RTC which left child with life threatening injuries

UPDATE: Dyfed-Powys Police is continuing to appeal for information about a serious collision on the A485 at Olmarch which occurred yesterday morning (Friday, May 4).

Sadly, we can confirm that 11-year-old Tristan Silver, of the Tregaron area, died as a result of the collision. Our thoughts are with his family, who are being supported by specialist officers.

A 28-year-old woman and another child were also taken to hospital. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

A burglary occurred at Emma Street, Llanelli, on Sunday (April 15) 2018 at around 12:30am.

The suspect entered the property and stole a handbag.
